BUFFALO—Collins & Company, one of the largest public relations firms in upstate New York, and Travers Collins Partners, one of the area’s leading advertising agencies, are combining under a single brand. The two firms will now be known as Travers Collins & Company, a move that coincides with both the 20th anniversary of Collins & Company and the seventh anniversary of Travers Collins Partners.

“This name change will reflect the fact that Travers Collins & Company is one company providing a full range of marketing communication expertise including advertising, public relations, public affairs, investor relations, and interactive marketing,” said William Collins, principal of Travers Collins & Company. “Having two names under one roof has created confusion and that will end by going with one name. Other than that, it’s business as usual.”

Collins & Company established its reputation with work for high-profile clients such as the Peace Bridge Authority, Independent Health, and the Seneca Nation. Collins started the company in 1982 as the public relations division of longtime Buffalo ad agency, Levy King & White, which is now Eric Mower & Associates. It has worked on the push for Major League Baseball in Buffalo, the new Buffalo Niagara International Airport, and the local debuts of Home Depot and Krispy Kreme.

Travers Collins Partners, was founded in 1995 and has worked with clients including Rich Products, Dawn Food Products, and Canisius College.
