HONG KONG—Burson-Marsteller has appointed Alastair Monteith-Hodge as managing director and Thomas Tang as regional director of digital in Asia-Pacific.

Both Monteith-Hodge and Tang are based in Hong Kong and will report to Asia-Pacific chief operating officer Margaret Key.

Monteith-Hodge joins Burson from the Children’s Cancer Foundation, where he served as CEO from 2011 until 2014. He previously spent nine years as the MD of Momentum54 Communications, a firm he founded, as well as Edelman and Hill & Knowlton in both Hong Kong and Taiwan.

In his new role, Monteith-Hodge will provide counsel and strategy to regionally based clients, with a strong focus on Asian brands expanding their operations globally.

Tang, previously with Edelman Digital, will serve as lead digital strategist for Burson in Asia Pacific.

“Both of these appointments represent our direction and focus in Asia-Pacific,” stated Key. “Alastair’s experience is the perfect match to help us meet the evolving needs of our clients and develop unique, tailored strategies to help drive business in Asia and abroad.”

“[Tang] will be a key addition to our digital team, underscoring the critical role digital plays in integrated communications planning and strategy,” Key added.
