Burson-Marsteller Forges Alliance With Turkish Firm

Burson-Marsteller has formed an exclusive partnership agreement with Effect PR & Multimedia, a Turkish public relations agency.

BRUSSELS—Burson-Marsteller has formed an exclusive partnership agreement with Effect PR & Multimedia, a leading Turkish public relations agency.

Founded in 1995, and led by Gonca Karakas, founder and CEO, Effect PR has about 50 employees, making it one of the top five firms in Turkey. The firm was previously Edelman’s affiliate in Turkey.

The firm has expertise in strategic corporate communications, sustainability, financial communications and social media, and expertise in internal communications, employee engagement and organizational restructuring for Turkish multinationals. The firm has coordinated campaigns for clients across Europe and the Middle East, the US and Mexico.

The alliance follows three recent acquisitions: Arcay in South Africa, Pohjoisranta in Finland and i&e in France.
