NEW YORK—Burson-Marsteller has appointed Kenneth Hartmann and Patrick Kerley as directors in its US digital practice. Hartmann will be based in New York, and Kerley will be based in Washington, DC. Both will report to US digital practice chair Michael Bassik.

Hartmann most recently worked at Wildfire Interactive, a Facebook-funded social media technology provider, where he advised on cross channel social marketing strategies for companies such as UPSjobs, Borghese, Sunglass Hut and the global product launch of videogame Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Previously, Hartmann worked with Bunchball, a leading API provider of game mechanics, as an Interactive Specialist for brand programs.

Most recently at Levick Strategic Communications, Kerley led social and digital media strategy for crisis and reputation management clients in industries including healthcare, technology, petroleum, agriculture, consumer products and professional services, including CITGO Petroleum, Six Flags, Perdue Chicken, Heartland Payment Systems, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Previously, he was a member of Alaska Senator Ted Stevens’ communications team and worked at the Washington, DC, law office of Skadden Arps.
