Burson Promotes George to Lead Chicago Brand Practice

Burson-Marsteller has promoted Chris George to lead its brand marketing practice in Chicago. As managing director, George will report to Samantha Lucas, chair of Burson’s U.S. brand marketing practice.

NEW YORK—Burson-Marsteller has promoted Chris George to lead its brand marketing practice in Chicago. As managing director, George will report to Samantha Lucas, chair of Burson’s U.S. brand marketing practice and will be responsible for leading a brand marketing team that helps clients articulate their brand strategies and differentiate their offerings. He will also continue to advise B-M leadership on all things creative.

Most recently, George served as the U.S. creative director at B-M, responsible for new business development in the U.S. He has also led several Burson account teams—both in the U.S. and globally¬—and has worked across each of the firm’s practice areas: technology, brand marketing, corporate, healthcare, issues and advocacy, media, public affairs, and Marsteller advertising. Prior to his role as creative director, George worked on the account side of the business at BM, primarily for consumer marketing and corporate clients.
