BOSTON—Manning Selvage & Lee has named Ed Cafasso as managing director of its Boston office. He succeeds Monique da Silva, who has been promoted to director of business development for MS&L’s North American healthcare practice.

Cafasso, who joined MS&L in January 2006, was most recently senior vice president and director of the office’s corporate practice. Previously, Cafasso served as the director of communications for the Office of the Massachusetts Attorney General.  He also spent a decade in journalism, including work as a reporter and city editor at The Boston Herald.

In her new role, da Silva will work closely with MaryEllen O’Donohue, director of strategy and innovation for the agency’s North American healthcare practice, to focus on developing and migrating major healthcare opportunities across the MS&L network. She has been with MS&L since 1999 and was named managing director of its Boston office in 2004.
