Camrichael Lynch Spong Adds Two Partners

Julie Batliner and John Tieszen have joined Carmichael Lynch Spong as partners. Based in the firm’s Minneapolis headquarters, Batliner will serve as chair of the firm’s food and beverage practice while Tieszen joins the consumer brand marketing practice.

MINNEAPOLIS—Julie Batliner and John Tieszen have joined Carmichael Lynch Spong Public Relations as partners. Based in the firm’s Minneapolis headquarters, Batliner will serve as chair of the firm’s food and beverage practice while Tieszen adds strength in the consumer brand marketing practice.

Prior to joining CLS, Batliner was a senior vice president at Fleishman-Hillard’s Minneapolis office, where she directed public relations programs for clients such as Hormel Foods, 8th Continent soymilk (a joint venture between General Mills and DuPont Nutrition & Health), The Solae Company and The Schwan Food Company. Prior to that, she worked at Fleishman-Hillard in Kansas City.

Tieszen joins CLS after most recently serving as president and co-founder of Perspective Marketing Communications, a retail marketing agency in Minneapolis. Prior to that, he was senior vice president at McCracken Brooks Communications, working with clients such as MilkPEP (“got milk?”), American Suzuki Motor Corporation and Washington Mutual.
