OTTAWA—Global Public Affairs, one of Canada’s leading government relations firms, and National Public Relations, Canada’s largest public relations firm, have forged a business partnership that will allow both firms to provide comprehensive government and public relations services to their clients.

The alliance will see National acquire a minority equity position in Global Public Affairs, and integrate the government and public relations offerings of both firms.

“This is an exciting combination that expands and strengthens the range of services both companies offer to clients,” said Randy Pettipas, president and CEO of Global Public Affairs. “We can now provide seamless government relations and public relations services to them at the federal, provincial and municipal levels across Canada.”

Adds Luc Beauregard, chairman and CEO of National, “Our partnership formalizes a relationship that has existed informally for some time. National and Global have collaborated effectively on several projects, providing favourable results for clients.”

Global Public Affairs is a privately-held government relations firm with offices in Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary and Victoria. It also operates urban intelligence, a municipal government relations company. National is a privately held public relations firm with offices in Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, Victoria, New York and London.
