LONDON—Alison Canning, currently president of Edelman’s international operations, will assume additional direct responsibility for Edelman Europe following Rosanna D’Antona’s planned departure from the firm in March. D’Antona is leaving to pursue other professional opportunities, but will continue to work closely with Edelman, using its global network to service several of her local Italian clients.

“Rosanna has made a fantastic contribution to Edelman, epitomizing our values, integrity and work ethic, and we’re looking forward to continuing this partnership, albeit in a new context,” said Richard Edelman, President and CEO, Edelman.

She joined Edelman as general manager of its Milan office in 1991, when she sold her firm Gruppo D’Relazioni  Pubbiche.  Rosanna was named European president in July 1999.

Edelman Europe accounted for $46.1 million in revenues in 2002, with 12 offices supporting clients such as MasterCard, Merck, Johnson & Johnson, GlaxoSmithKline, Microsoft and UPS. Regional revenue grew approximately 7 percent.
