NEW YORK—Lou Capozzi, former chief executive of Manning Selvage & Lee, has stepped down from his chairman emeritus position with parent company Publicis Groupe’s Public Relations and Corporate Communications group, but will maintain an honorary role as MS&L senior counselor.

In his new role, Capozzi will be involved with numerous industry speaking and education opportunities that support MS&L’s business objectives. He will also continue in his position as president of the International Communications Consultants Organisation, as well as his role as adjunct professor in New York University’s School of Continuing & Professional Studies Masters Degree program in public relations.

He was named CEO in 1997, and led the firm for seven years. He left MS&L in 2005 to become chairman of Publicis Groupe’s PRCC unit, which oversees the Groupe’s public relations, public affairs and corporate communications resources. Capozzi was named chairman emeritus for the organization in 2007.
