WASHINGTON, D.C.—Communications measurement specialist CARMA International is launching a new online media measurement tool called CARMA NewsAccess , designed to help companies and communications professionals stay abreast of daily media coverage that affects their business, issues and interests. NewsAccess provides automated access to clients' relevant coverage in traditional, non-traditional and social media and generates related metrics that measure their impact.

“NewsAccess monitors databases of more than 20,000 broadcast, print and online news sources including blogs and other social media available in electronic format,” says CARMA vice president Sonia LaFountain-Ginyard. “By categorizing content with basic key terms, we can give our clients a quick pulse on the day's headlines and top developments. This service arms them with information they may need to make sound strategic, marketing, or financial decisions that affect their businesses.”

CARMA's customized searches include specific company names and key topics designated by each client. NewsAccess then provides a continuing list of articles in a bibliographic format categorized by article date, headline and media source. Basic charts and graphs for further analysis and presentation are also provided.
