GENEVA—Cohn & Wolfe has promoted Elaine Carroll to managing director of its operations in Geneva, Switzerland. She will oversee all operations and lead client and employee development and will report directly to Scott Wilson, UK CEO and MD, EMEA. She replaces Victoria Dix, who will join Trafigura Beheer as head of media relations.

Carroll joined Cohn & Wolfe in 2007, and has overseen strategy and execution for clients across a range of industries including healthcare and homecare devices, oil and gas, financial services, technology and FMCG.

Before joining Cohn & Wolfe, she was practice head at pan-European technology firm Hotwire Public Relations, where she was responsible for consumer tech and digital media. Past clients include Research in Motion, Pantone and Factiva. Prior to moving to Switzerland in 2006, Carroll spent 13 years working in Germany.

Cohn & Wolfe Geneva opened in 2001 and, since then, has served some of the most well-known financial and consumer brands in the world, as well as partnering with NGOs on global campaigns. Current clients include The World Economic Forum, the Wealth and Investment Management division of Barclays, Hotels.com, Geberit, Kaz Europe (Braun, Vicks & Honeywell brands) and Vitol.

Says Cohn & Wolfe CEO Donna Imperato, "Elaine joined Cohn & Wolfe Geneva in 2007 and since then has been a key architect in growing the business and the team.

"We will of course miss Victoria and the valuable insights and dedication she provided to the Cohn & Wolfe family for the past 17 years. We wish her the very best in her exciting and challenging new role."
