LOS ANGELES—CarryOn Communication has promoted JP Schuerman to managing director of its Los Angeles headquarters office. CarryOn manages consumer campaigns for brands like IHOP, ESPN, Clorox, Jacuzzi and Symantec, from its offices in L.A., New York, Washington, D.C., and Louisville, Ky.

Schuerman joined CarryOn in 2002 as vice president and practice leader responsible for its consumer technology business, expanding his role over recent years to include consumer sports and new products.  His work in Los Angeles has helped the firm achieve double double-digit growth in each of the past five years.

In his new role, Schuerman will drive development of integrated consumer technology programs across its network of offices, and focus on the build out of northern and southern California operations to service current accounts in those geographies.  He will also serve on the agency’s executive committee.

Prior to joining CarryOn, Schierman founded and led Schuerman Communications, representing new media and technology companies including Google, and served as general manager at consumer tech boutique Faiola Davis.
