DENVER—Bob Charlton, who joined telecommunications company Qwest Communications a year ago as vice president of corporate communications, has left as part of a restructuring that now sees the corporate communications reporting to Laura Sankey, the company’s new vice president of marketing and advertising, who joined from Coors earlier this year.

“We’re simply reorganizing corporate communications functions to align more fully with the marketing and advertising effort that’s led by Laura Sankey,” Qwest spokesman Bob Toevs told the Denver Post.

Charlton was previously vice president of global public affairs at Dow Chemical.
