BEIJING– Burson-Marsteller has brought on Chang’an Tien as EVP of its China, government affairs practice.

Tien previously served as the chief representative for Federal Express from 2002 to 2013. Prior to that, he served as VP government relations for Ford in China from 1993 until 2001, and chief representative for Siemens KWU, from 1981 to 1992.  Tien also has a doctorate in nuclear physics and was a lecturer at the University of Poitiers in Poitiers, France.

In his new role, Tien will advise clients in the area of government affairs, stakeholder engagement and regulatory matters, as well as contribute to the growth of the Burson-Marsteller China’s government affairs team. Tien will report to Daisy King, President of Burson-Marsteller China.
