China's BlueFocus Acquires Hong Kong Agency

BlueFocus Communications Group,has acquired DT Communications Asia Pacific, a full-service public relations firm headquartered in Hong Kong.

HONG KONG—BlueFocus Communications Group, a publicly-listed public relations business with more than 2,000 employees throughout Greater China, has acquired DT Communications Asia Pacific, a full-service public relations firm headquartered in Hong Kong. According to BlueFocus chairman and chief executive Oscar Zhoa, DT will “become the face of BlueFocus and serve as its China link to the rest of the world.”

DT Communications assists international companies seeking access to the fast-growing Greater China market, having worked with brands such as Giorgio Armani, Swarovski, Jaguar, HSBC, the Italian Trade Commission, Gap, and Sony. As part of BlueFocus, the firm will also work with Chinese companies seeking to expand into international markets.

DT Communications offers a range of services including digital and traditional PR, marketing and branding, and event management, spanning sectors from technology, finance, customer relations, healthcare, real estate, retail, hotel, designer brands to governmental departments.

BlueFocus was founded in 1996 and now has annual revenue of over RMB 1 billion ($150 million), serving almost a thousand clients in sectors including technology, automobile, home appliances, FMCG, finance, real estate, telecommunication, pharmaceutical and online entertainment. It is listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
