Ciba Vision Taps Golin for Night & Day Launch

CIBA Vision, a leader in the development of optical and ophthalmic products and services, has selected Golin/Harris as public relations agency of record for its newest brand, Focus Night & Day contact lenses.

CHICAGO, February 20—CIBA Vision, a leader in the development of optical and ophthalmic products and services, has selected Golin/Harris International as public relations agency of record for its newest brand, Focus Night & Day contact lenses. The new lenses were recently approved for up to 30 nights of continuous wear, and are the first high-oxygen, extended wear soft lenses in the United States.
 
“I worked with Golin/Harris at a previous position, and was impressed with their strategic, results-oriented approach,” says Steve Colton, vice president, of marketing for Ciba’s North America optics. “We are pleased with the results we have seen so far, and have great confidence in a successful and ongoing relationship with Golin/Harris.”
 
Golin/Harris kicked off the new account with a public relations program to announce the FDA approval and will now work with CIBA Vision to launch an aggressive campaign to sustain consumer awareness and increase demand and trial. The account will be based in the Chicago office of Golin/Harris, and will be managed by Susan Pickett, senior vice president.
