CHICAGO, March 26—The New York and Chicago offices of Citigate Public Relations will handle the PR portion of a multi-million dollar integrated marketing programs to promote Italian-built industrial machinery for the Italian Trade Commission. Citigate Albert Frank will handle the advertising component of the Turning Innovation into Productivity campaign.

“Our market research shows that American executives whose firms use Italian-made manufacturing equipment hold our products in high regard.  Italian firms have earned a reputation for superior design, durability, and positive impact on the bottom line,” says Giuseppe Federico, ITC’s Chicago Trade Commissioner.

“When Americans think of Italy, they tend to think of food, wine and fashion. The Italian heritage of design and engineering genius, however, dates back 500 years to the days of Leonardo da Vinci. This campaign aims to focus the spotlight on the ingenuity and expertise of the nation whose inventions include eyeglasses and the helicopter.”
