CHICAGO—CKPR has concluded a yearlong search for a director of its Chicago office with the hiring of Dan Pooley, formerly a senior manager at Weber Shandwick. Pooley will take over day-to-day operations of the 35-person office from Joel Curran, who has served in the dual role of Chicago office director and CKPR managing director for the past year.

The addition of Pooley will allow Curran to focus exclusively on leading the five office agency and growing new business.  Pooley will report directly to Curran with a reporting relationship to Phil May, the general manager of parent advertising agency C-K in Chicago.

Prior to joining CKPR, Pooley was a senior manager at Weber Shandwick.  He brings with him a strong background in strategic and creative development, brand repositioning, product launches, consumer promotions, education campaigns, crisis management, branded entertainment and interactive/web relations.
