CHICAGO—CKPR, the public relations arm of Cramer Krasselt, is changing the name of its New York office from Nichol-CKPR to CKPR, effective immediately.  The name change, which comes on the one-year anniversary of the agency’s acquisition of Nichol & Company, aligns the New York name with the company’s other offices in Chicago, Milwaukee, Orlando and Phoenix.

At the same time Betsy Nichol, the executive director of Nichol-CKPR and founder of the former Nichol & Company, is leaving CKPR to develop two entrepreneurial ventures: Betsy Nichol Communications, which will consult with public relations firms, and E.N. Interiors. The consultancy will advise public relations agencies on agency marketing, management and new business development, and will consult with corporations seeking assistance managing their communications needs. E.N. Interiors will specialize in residential and hospitality interior design.

“We have been very pleased with the integration of the New York office into CKPR and could not be more pleased with the overall growth they’ve enjoyed this year,” said Peter Krivkovich, president and chief executive officer of C-K.  “That it is having such a tremendous year is a tribute to Betsy’s leadership and efforts, and we would like to thank her for her dedication to ensuring a smooth transition.”
