WASHINGTON, D.C.—Fleishman-Hillard has hired Capitol Hill veteran William Fay as a senior vice president in its Washington, D.C. office. Fay joins Fleishman after leading numerous trade associations and coalitions, including the American Highway Users Alliance, the Product Liability Coordinating Committee, the Clean Air Working Group, and NATSO. At Fleishman-Hillard, he will provide strategic counsel and help manage the agency’s stable of public affairs clients.

Since leaving Capitol Hill in 1985, Fay has served a broad range of businesses, tackling an array of priority issues before Congress and the Administration—autos, chemicals, insurance, mining, oil, manufacturing, trucking, and others—through comprehensive issue campaigns that have involved strategic planning, lobbying, media relations, grassroots advocacy and membership development services.

According to Martha Boudreau, general manager of the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, “Bill brings an ability to integrate complex public policy programs that include grassroots outreach, coalition building, media, and lobbying.”

Before his nine-year tenure with the American Highway Users Alliance, Fay served as the executive director of the Product Liability Coordinating Committee and the Clean Air Working Group.
