CHICAGO—GolinHarris has named Jennifer Cohan managing director of its New York office. Cohan will be responsible for the overall operation and business development for the region. She will also join GolinHarris’ executive management committee, which is responsible for the strategic direction of the agency and will report directly to president and chief executive officer Fred Cook.
Prior to joining GolinHarris, was president of GCI’s New York office. In addition to her responsibility for the strategic direction and business management of the office, she counseled clients and agency teams across practice areas. Previously, she was deputy managing director of Cohn & Wolfe’s London office.
Golin has long struggled to establish a presence in New York to match its formidable capabilities in Chicago and Los Angeles. The New York general manager position has been open—with the exception of an interim appointment—since the departure of financial communications expert Richard Wolff two and a half years ago.
