Cohn Joins Widmeyer to Lead Research and Polling Practice

Ron Cohn has joined Widmeyer Communications as a senior vice president and head of the firm’s research and polling practice. Cohn comes to Widmeyer from Fabrizio McLaughlin & Associates.

WASHINGTON, D.C.— Ron Cohn has joined Widmeyer Communications as a senior vice president and head of the firm’s research and polling practice. Cohn comes to Widmeyer from Fabrizio McLaughlin & Associates, where as senior vice president he managed a research team focused on security issues, corporate social responsibility, financial education and regulatory concerns for a variety of clients, including Visa Inc.

 

Cohn has conducted hundreds of focus groups and in-depth interviews among a variety of audiences including Members of Congress, ambassadors to the World Trade Organization, physicians, union members, school principals and teenagers. He has also authored numerous studies, with a special focus on message development, and has surveyed the general public, voters, membership organizations and other targeted audiences on a wide breadth of issues.

 

He has also served as a senior analyst at Lake Snell Perry & Associates where he headed the Washington team for labor clients and top-tier political campaigns including work for the AFL-CIO and SEIU.  Prior to that, Cohn was the research director for Fingerhut/Granados Opinion Research.

 

His previous work included roles at the Democratic National Committee, the Association of State Democratic Chairs and John Glenn’s presidential campaign.  He received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University.
