SAN FRANCISCO—Cohn & Wolfe has launched CW Greenworx, a new global practice that will provide marketing services that enable companies to credibly and effectively communicate their environmental business strategies. The practice will unite existing expertise from across multiple Cohn & Wolfe offices, including San Francisco and London.

“Research shows that consumers are willing to switch brands for a cause if price and quality are equal, which makes ‘green’ a potential competitive advantage,” says Annie Longsworth, managing director of the firm’s San Francisco office. “The key is to develop and introduce the right strategies and programs to effectively communicate their efforts to the public.”

CW Greenworx will focus on sustainable business, alternative energy and environmental strategies, and will integrate research, traditional media channels and grassroots, viral and social media campaigns. Cohn & Wolfe has already executed environmental communication strategies for companies such as Ford Motor Corp., Landor Associates, and several global energy companies.

In addition to launching CW Greenworx, Cohn & Wolfe San Francisco is working towards its certification as a Green Business.
