TORONTO—Cohn & Wolfe Canada has acquired the operations of ETC Communications and integrated the company with its existing Toronto office. The new organization operate under the Cohn & Wolfe name and will represent clients in the financial, health care, technology and consumer products sectors.

“ETC Communications is a perfect fit with Cohn & Wolfe” said Carol Panasiuk, executive vice president and general manager of Cohn & Wolfe’s Toronto office. “Over the last 13 years, ETC has established a strong and loyal client base, receiving accolades and awards by providing Canadian organizations with results-driven programs and flawless execution,” she added.

ETC Communications was created in 1990 by Eileen Tobey, a healthcare public relations veteran.

“While we were offered several opportunities to merge our team with other public relations firms, Cohn & Wolfe made the best sense,” says Tobey, citing “a common commitment to senior, hands-on counsel, in-depth sectoral expertise and creativity.”
