NEW YORK—Cohn & Wolfe has been appointed agency of record in the U.S. by Ubisoft, a leading worldwide producer, publisher, and distributor of interactive entertainment products. As part of Ubisoft’s strategy to consolidate and streamline media outreach, Cohn & Wolfe will handle all consumer PR for the company’s line of casual and core video games and also support the company’s corporate communications.
Cohn & Wolfe becomes Ubisoft’s first AoR in the U.S. The company had previously assigned project-based work to separate agencies, including Cohn & Wolfe. In 2008, the agency provided support for the launch of several video game titles, including Far Cry 2 and Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party and also managed a Ubisoft-sponsored consumer awareness campaign on behalf of the Frag Dolls, an all-female competitive gaming team.
