Congressional Correspondent Hitt Joins Public Strategies

Greg Hitt, former congressional correspondent, has joined the Washington, D.C., office of Public Strategies as a managing director. Hitt will serve as a strategic communications counselor for the firm’s clients.

AUSTIN, TX—Greg Hitt, former congressional correspondent, has joined the Washington, D.C., office of Public Strategies as a managing director. Hitt will serve as a strategic communications counselor for the firm’s clients.

 

Hitt has more than two decades of experience covering Congress at the Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones Newswires. Most recently, he helped lead the Journal’s coverage of major legislation shaping President Obama’s agenda, including the economic stimulus package, the health care reform bill and financial services reform.

 

Hitt has covered a wide range of issues including national politics, presidential campaigns, international economics and trade. He was also a member of the elite group of reporters covering the White House during President Bush’s first term. Hitt joined Dow Jones Newswires in 1989 where he reported on financial issues in Congress, and then moved to the Wall Street Journal in 1996.
