NEW YORK, October 31—Consumer technology specialist Connors Communications has been retained by Cablevision, one of the nation’s leading telecommunications and entertainment companies. Connors will provide strategic counsel and media relations for several of Cablevision’s digital business units, including Optimum Online, Power to Learn and the company’s eMedia Group.

“After a rigorous search process and careful evaluation, it was clear that the scope of Connors’ experience and history of client service suited our strategic communications needs very well,” says Charles Schueler, senior vice president of media and community relations at Cablebision.

Cablevision’s Optimum Online is the industry’s first self-install cable-modem service. Power to Learn is Cablevision’s non-commercial, multi-million dollar initiative dedicated to integrating the Internet into education.
