BILLERICA, MA—Millipore Corporation, a life sciences company providing technologies and services for the bioscience research and the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry, has named Karen Marinella Hall as director of corporate communications, responsible for overseeing the company’s media relations programs and external communications initiatives. Prior to join Millipore, Marinella-Hall was the news anchor for the nightly 10 O’Clock News Broadcast at WLVI-TV in Boston.

WASHINGTON, D.C.— The Association of Corporate Counsel has named Susan Jacobsen as director of communications and public relations. Jacobson will develop and lead communications strategy for the association, including the execution and communication of its advocacy, diversity and pro bono initiatives. Previously, Jacobson worked for a leading jury and trial consulting firm retained in high-stakes litigation, and most recently, for Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom,.

MINNEAPOLIS—Alliant Techsystems, an advanced weapon and space systems company, has hired Brian Cullin as senior vice president, corporate communications, reporting to chairman and CEO Dan Murphy. Cullin served as assistant White House press secretary and director at the National Security Council press office during the Clinton Administration. Later he led the communications planning effort for Operation Iraqi Freedom and was director of communications for Northrop Grumman Ship Systems.
