New people in new roles at Royal Caribbean, Monster, Univision and Eriez.

MIAMI—Royal Caribbean Cruises has named Rob Zeiger vice president, global chief communications officer, responsible for leading Royal Caribbean's communications, corporate social responsibility, and public relations and corporate positioning strategies.  He reports directly to the company's chairman and CEO, Richard Fain. Most recently, Zeiger was the senior vice president of communications for the Philadelphia Eagles, and earlier was Amway's director of corporate communications. Earlier in his career, he was vice president and creative director for Weber Shandwick's office in Detroit.

NEW YORK—Monster, a worldwide leader in connecting people to job opportunities, has named Matt Anchin to the newly created position of senior vice president, global communications, responsible for managing corporate communications, business and consumer media relations and social media, reporting to Ted Gilvar, chief marketing officer. Most recently, Anchin served as senior vice president, global marketing and communications for the media businesses of Nielsen, and was vice president, online communications at American Express. Earlier, he was with IBM for eight years.

NEW YORK—Univision Communications has appointed Mónica Talán executive vice president of corporate communications and public relations. Talán, who was most recently the senior vice president of corporate communications and public relations, will remain based in New York and report to Randy Falco, president and CEO of Univision Communications.  She will continue to be responsible for overseeing all corporate and internal communications, programming public relations and the Company’s media relations efforts. Prior to joining Univision in 2008, Talán spent more than 10 years at Fleishman-Hillard.

ERIE, PA—Advanced technology company Eriez has promoted John Blicha to director of corporate communications.  Blicha will direct advertising, literature, trade shows, and inquiry management efforts, and manage all corporate public relations and promotional activities, including the Eriez website and employee newsletter. He will also coordinate global marketing communications and social media programs. Blicha joined Eriez in 2012 as marketing communications manager from Molded Fiber Glass Tray of Linesville, Pa., where he served as director of marketing.
