New people in new roles at Northrop Grumman, Michael Baker, Cablevision, Greenbrier, Leading Hotels, and Pinnacol Assurance.

REDONDO BEACH, CA—Northrop Grumman Corporation has announced that industry veteran Faith Jennings and retired Rear Adm. Vic Beck will lead Communications for its aerospace systems sector's unmanned systems and military aircraft divisions respectively. Jennings most recently served as corporate director of international communications and public relations at Raytheon and has held positions with Boeing and APCO Worldwide. Beck most recently was a managing director at Burson-Marsteller and was previously vice chief of information for the US Navy.

PITTSBURGH—Michael Baker International, a leading global provider of engineering and integrated consulting services, has hired Beth Foley as executive vice president and chief communications officer. Foley, who has spent close to 20 years leading communications initiatives at major energy companies, reports to chief executive officer Kurt Bergman and will oversee all corporate communications, marketing and advertising functions. She was most recently senior director, corporate communications, for Pacific Gas & Electric Company.

BETHPAGE, NY—Cablevision has promoted Lisa Anselmo to vice president, corporate communications. Anselmo, previously senior director of corporate communications, reports to Charles Schueler, executive vice president of media and community relations. She joined Cablevision in 2010 after serving as director of public affairs and communications at American Express.

LAKE OSWEGO, OR—The Greenbrier Companies, a leading supplier of transportation equipment and services to the railroad industry, has promoted Jack Isselmann to senior vice president, external affairs and programs. Isselmann joined Greenbrier in 2012 as director of corporate relations and communications. He reports to William Furman, chairman and CEO.

NEW YORK—Lauren Alba has been appointed director, public relations and media partnerships, at The Leading Hotels of the World. She will be responsible for leading the LHW global public relations strategy and creating innovative media partnerships to support company’s strategic objectives. Most recently, Alba served as senior account supervisor, social media, for Coyne PR and earlier spent nearly four years at American Express.

DENVER—Pinnacol Assurance, a leading provider of workers’ compensation insurance, has named Edie Sonn as vice president of communications and public affairs. She will oversee Pinnacol’s efforts to protect and promote its relationships and reputation with policyholders, agents, business associations, government officials, regulatory agencies and community partners. Prior to joining Pinnacol, Sonn was vice president of strategic initiatives for the Center for Improving Value in Health Care and senior director of public affairs at the Colorado Medical Society.
