New people in new roles at McCourt Global, Stellar Biotechnology, and Ambac Financial Group.

NEW YORK—McCourt Global, a diversified investment firm focused on creating long-term value through entrepreneurial, investment and philanthropic activities, has named Matthew Rose to the newly created position of managing director, communications. Rose will develop strategies for corporate reputation, messaging, internal communications, media relations, corporate branding, marketing and corporate philanthropy. He previously held management roles at agencies including Emanate and MWW.

PORT HUENEME, CA—Stellar Biotechnologies has appointed Mark McPartland as vice president of corporate development and communications. He will lead Stellar's corporate development and investor related programs including management of stakeholder relationships, commercial collaborating, capital markets strategy, external communications, media relations, and public affairs. Prior to joining Stellar, he served as senior vice president at MZ Group, a subsidiary of @titude Global, an independent global investor relations consulting firm.

NEW YORK—Financial services holding company Ambac Financial Group has hired Abbe Goldstein as managing director, investor relations and corporate communications. She will report directly to David Trick, Ambac's senior managing director, chief financial officer and treasurer. She joins Ambac from National Financial Partners where she served as senior vice president, investor relations and corporate communications. Earlier, she held IR positions at Revlon and Willis Group Holdings.
