MELVILLE, NY—Henry Schein, a leading provider of healthcare products and services to office-based practitioners, has named Gerard Meuchner as vice president and chief global communications officer.
Meuchner will be responsible for corporate brand management and for coordination of communications functions that promote Henry Schein's brand globally among each of the company's key constituencies. Meuchner joins from Eastman Kodak Company where he spent the past decade, most recently as corporate vice president and director, communications and public affairs. Prior to joining Kodak, he was with Bloomberg News.

PISCATAWAY, NJ—IEEE, one of the world's largest technical professional associations, has named Rodney Spady as senior director, digital marketing and communications. Spady will lead teams responsible for managing the public face of IEEE, including IEEE branding, corporate communications, public visibility initiatives, creative services, and social media. Before joining IEEE, he served as director of integrated marketing and media for Johnson and Johnson's global marketing group and was director of global digital marketing and chief web officer for Novartis Consumer Health.

FORT LAUDERDALE—Cruise Lines International Association has named Michael McGarry as senior vice president of public affairs. McGarry most recently served as managing partner for R2M Solutions, a risk and reputation management firm he founded in Washington, DC. Earlier, he held senior communications and consulting positions with Royal Dutch Shell, Visa, Harrah's Entertainment, MasterCard, KPMG and Marsh & McLennan. He also served as vice president at Fleishman-Hillard. His responsibilities at CLIA include issues management, crisis communications, government affairs, member communications and stakeholder engagement.
