Microsoft promotes Cohen to VP, corporate communications; plus new corporate PR execs at the Association of Equipment Manufacturers and GreenHunter Energy.

REDMOND—Microsoft has named several promotions, including naming Larry Cohen as corporate vice president, corporate communications. Previously general manager, Cohen will continue to be responsible for the company’s global communications efforts, spanning public relations, executive communications and employee communications.


WASHINGTON, D.C.The Association of Equipment Manufacturers has named Richard Jefferson to the newly created position of senior director of public relations. He will oversee the trade group’s efforts to expand the scope of its activities for increased awareness to represent equipment manufacturers, particularly in the areas of public policy, global business development and workforce issues. Jefferson most recently served as director of external affairs for the USDA Farm Service Agency’s office of public affairs in Washington, D.C.


GRAPEVINE, TX—GreenHunter Energy has appointed Jack Zedlitz as director of corporate communications. Zedlitz joins from Capital West Securities in its corporate finance group, where he was responsible for equity and debt financing for Capital West's corporate clients. Zedlitz worked with GreenHunter Energy on the company's latest equity capital raise of $19.2 million.
