ANAHEIM—Adam Sanderson has been named senior vice president, corporate communications, at The Walt Disney Company. He will oversee D23: The Official Disney Fan Club, Disney Corporate Creative Resources, and the Walt Disney Archives. He will report directly to chief communications officer Zenia Mucha. A 17-year Disney veteran, Sanderson most recently served as senior vice president, franchise management of Disney/ABC Television Group, where he was responsible for launching, building and sustaining franchises for Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior, Radio Disney, ABC Family, ABC Entertainment Group, and ABC Daytime.

WASHINGTON, DC—The Personal Care Products Council has promoted Lisa Powers (pictured) to executive vice president for public affairs and communications. Powers oversees the development and execution of strategic communications and public affairs programs including media relations, issues management and the integration of communications with the needs of the Council’s more than 600 member companies. She joined the organization in 2006 from the Mercury Group.

SAN ANTONIO—Whataburger has promoted Pam Cox, who previously served as group director of corporate communications, to the role of vice president of communications for Whatabrands. Cox joined Whataburger in 2001 and is responsible for directing all internal communications activities, special events and meetings, public relations and social media efforts for the company. She began her public relations career with the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

HOUSTON—The Greater Houston Partnership has promoted Lilyanne McClean to executive vice president of public policy and communications. She will serve as a key advisor for the GHP president and CEO and board of directors. McClean began her tenure at the Partnership in November 2011 as the senior vice president of public policy, leading the public policy team in advocating for GHP’s local, state and federal legislative agendas. Prior to joining GHP, she was part of the senior leadership team at K-Global, a public affairs and strategic communications firm headquartered in Washington, DC.

WASHINGTON, DC—Liberty Mutual Insurance has hired Viji Rangaswami as vice president of federal affairs, focusing on international issues. Rangaswami brings extensive federal and international public affairs experience, having spent more than 12 years working for the US House Committee on Ways & Means’ trade subcommittee as staff director.

FREMONT, CA—A-Crystal Electronic Technology USA, a supplier of frequency control devices, has appointed Shu Min as director of corporate communications. She will report to Alex Woo, president and chief executive officer, and is responsible for merchandising, demand creation and public relations for the North America, Asia and Europe markets. Prior to joining A-Crystal, she was the President of Shu Min Electronics, a management consulting firm that specialized in helping Asia-based companies establish themselves in North America and Europe.
