Senomyx, a company focused on using proprietary technologies to discover and develop novel flavor ingredients for the packaged food and beverage industry, has promoted Gwen Rosenberg to vice president, investor relations and corporate communications.

SAN DIEGO—Senomyx, a company focused on using proprietary technologies to discover and develop novel flavor ingredients for the packaged food and beverage industry, has promoted Gwen Rosenberg to vice president, investor relations and corporate communications.  Rosenberg joined Senomyx in September 2005 as executive director, investor relations and corporate communications. Her prior experience includes executive positions at Memec and Alliance Pharmaceutical Corp., as well as serving as a research scientist at the University of California, San Diego and Scripps Clinic & Research Foundation. She also has experience as a science reporter.

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI—Burns & Wilcox, an independently owned insurance agent, has named Laura Vultaggio director of corporate communications. Vultaggio is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for internal and external communications, including media relations, branding and executive communications.  Most recently Vultaggio was manager of corporate communications at Visteon, where she was responsible for the company’s internal and executive communications. Before joining Visteon, she was the web communications manager at Federal-Mogul.

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Grocery Manufacturers/Food Products Association has named Emily Beizer vice president of international affairs. Most recently, Beizer served as senior policy advisor, government and global trade for Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw, where she provided government affairs and policy consulting to clients.
