Erin Johnson has been promoted to the role of chief communications officer at JWT; plus new people in new roles at Applied DNA Sciences and CGL & Associates.

NEW YORK—Erin Johnson has been promoted to the role of chief communications officer at JWT. In her new role, Johnson will work with the worldwide executive committee to facilitate the agency's macro business objectives. She will lead JWT's marketing communications and will be responsible for building a strategy to strengthen and grow the JWT brand globally. She joined JWT in August 2005 as director of corporate communications from the Kaplan Thaler Group in New York, where she was director, KTG Buzz. Johnson also spent six years as director of corporate communications for kirshenbaum bond + partners.

 

LONG ISLAND, NY—Applied DNA Sciences, a provider of DNA-based security solutions, has named Janice Meraglia to the new role of director of communications, responsible for investor and public relations. Meraglia will also help Applied DNA continue its progress in government contracts and the financial applications. Most recently, Meraglia was senior vice president and chief administrative officer of the global credit products businesses at Lehman Brothers NYC headquarters. Previously, she held a similar role at CIBC World Markets.

 

CHATTANOOGA, TN—CBL & Associates Properties, one of the largest and most active owners and developers of malls and shopping centers in the United States, has promoted Katie Reinsmidt to vice president of corporate communications and investor relations. Reinsmidt was most recently director of corporate communications and investor relations and oversees all investor and financial communication efforts as well as corporate media relations. Prior to joining CBL, she was an associate analyst for A.G. Edwards & Sons.
