Cathy Hissong has been named director of corporate communications for Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., plus new people in new positions at NanoLogix and Topco Associates.

FINDLAY, OH—Cathy Hissong has been named director of corporate communications for Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. Hissong has held a number of posts at Cooper, including budget analyst, equipment buyer, regional credit manager and audit manager. She will now direct Cooper’s internal communications efforts, including employee publications and intranet communications, direction of various business projects and management of the company’s visual communications center.

 

HUBBARD, OH—Biotechnology and medical diagnostics company NanoLogix has hired veteran journalist Bill Scanlon has joined the company to coordinate publicity in advance of major news. Bill Scanlon brings 25 years of experience in science, medical and business writing to NanoLogix. For the past 18 years, he worked at the Rocky Mountain News, until its closing last month.

 

SKOKIE, IL—Topco Associates, which provides business solutions to the food industry, has hired Michael Dizon as director, corporate communications. Dizon, who reports directly to Topco president and CEO Steven Lauer, will be responsible for the development and execution of overall Topco messaging, public relations, digital communications and corporate marketing materials. Dizon most recently led the corporate communications team at the Chicago Tribune Media Group, directing all aspects of media and public relations and internal and external communications.
