LOS ANGELES—Nutrition company Herbalife has named Angela Arboleda to the newly created role of vice president, community engagement and health policy. Arboleda will work out of the company’s Washington, DC, office and will report to Amy Greene, vice president of government, corporate and investor relations, responsible for managing Herbalife's third-party relationships in minority communities. She was most recently senior policy advisor for Latino and Asian-American Affairs for the Office of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.).

NEW YORK—The Leading Hotels of the World has appointed Jennifer Oberstein to the position of director of communications. She will oversee the development and execution of the corporate public relations strategy, including media relations and the company's relationship with its global press agencies. Oberstein joins The Leading Hotels of the World from The Ritz-Carlton, where she was most recently area director of public relations.

ARLINGTON, VA—The National Association of Chemical Distributors has appointed Matthew McKinney as manager, public affairs, responsible for media relations, policy and speech writing, and member communications. Previously, he served as communications manager with the government affairs firm Obadal Filler MacLeod, & Klein, where he managed media and client relations.

NEW YORK—RCS Capital Corporation has named Andrew Backman to the newly created position of managing director, investor relations and public relations. Backman will be responsible for building an investor relations and public relations platform to support RCAP and its domestic and international strategies. Prior to joining RCAP, Backman served as chief executive officer of InVision Investor Relations, and previously was senior vice president, investor relations and marketing for a leading commercial real estate finance company.
