NORWALK, CT—Frontier Communications Corporation has appointed Peter DePasquale as vice president of communications and corporate affairs. He will report to executive vice president, general counsel and secretary Mark Nielsen and will be responsible for developing and executing a corporate communications and engagement strategy nationwide. DePasquale joins Frontier from Praxair, where he served as director of government and external relations.

BRAINTREE , MA—Liberty Bay Credit Union has hired Jill Amato as vice president, director of corporate communications. She will be responsible for branding and marketing initiatives including advertising, collateral, corporate communications, content development, design, public relations, social media and the company website. Prior to joining Liberty Bay Credit Union, Amato spent 12 years at Boston Private Bank & Trust Company where she held multiple roles in the marketing department.

NEW HAVEN, CT—BioBlast Pharma, a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing therapies for patients with rare and ultra-rare genetic diseases, has appointed Stacey Jurchison as vice president, investor relations and corporate communications. Jurchison most recently served as director, corporate communications and investor relations, at PharmAthene and earlier was senior director of corporate communications and investor relations at Guilford Pharmaceuticals.

BRYN MAWR, PA—Aqua America, a water utilities company, has hired Stacey Hajdak to lead its communications department, responsible for managing the internal and external communication strategies for the company and its subsidiaries. Hajdak comes to Aqua America most recently from the Department of Defense, defense logistics agency troop support, where she was chief corporate communications and public affairs officer. 

TORONTO—Cynapsus Therapeutics, a specialty CNS pharmaceutical company, has appointed Kristen Galfetti as vice president, investor relations and corporate communications. Galfetti's recent corporate experience includes serving as senior director, investor relations, at Sanofi responsible for integrating the merger of Genzyme Corporation, and senior director, corporate communications and investor relations, at AMAG Pharmaceuticals.
