NEW YORK—Jori Arancio has been named senior vice president, communications, at ABC Entertainment & ABC Studios.  Arancio reports to Kevin Brockman, executive vice president, global communications, and is responsible for corporate communication efforts, consumer press campaigns, awards outreach, and talent relations for the two business units. Prior to this promotion, Arancio was vice president, communications, for Freeform, formerly ABC Family. She first joined The Walt Disney Company in 1998 as manager, communications, for Disney Channel, having begun her career in communications at Bragman/Nyman/Cafarelli.

NORTHBROOK, IL—Marathon Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company developing treatments for rare diseases, has appointed Wanda Moebius as vice president of communications. Moebius will oversee all communications activities working to educate the public on the value of developing needed treatment options for rare diseases. Moebius previously served as executive vice president for public affairs at the Advanced Medical Technology Association, an international trade association representing medical device and diagnostics manufacturers. She has also held senior communications roles at PhRMA, Dittus Communications and Hill & Knowlton.


BOISE, ID—Food and drug retailer Albertsons has appointed current vice president of corporate communications Christine Wilcox to the position of vice president, communications and public affairs. Wilcox is filling a vacancy created when Brian Dowling retired from the company earlier this year. She is an 18-year veteran of the company.

SANTA CLARITA, CA—Princess Cruises has appointed Negin Kamali to the role of director, public relations. Prior to joining Princess, Negin was an executive director in the Los Angeles office of Golin, where she spent 15 years and had managed the Princess Cruises and Cunard Line accounts.
