DETROIT— Tony Cervone, General Motors’ senior vice president of global communications, will assume responsibility for the GM Foundation and corporate giving activities in addition to his communications responsibilities. In addition, Craig Glidden, executive vice president and general counsel, will assume responsibility for global public policy and corporate sustainability. The moves follow the departure of Bob Ferguson, senior vice president, GM global public policy, and chairman of the GM Foundation.

CHICAGO—Hyatt Hotels Corporation has named Candace Mueller (pictured) as vice president of global communications. In this role, she will lead Hyatt’s brand and corporate communications as well as social engagement and will report to Debra Goetz, senior vice president, corporate marketing and global communications. Mueller joins Hyatt from PepsiCo, where she held numerous roles, most recently as senior director of communications and community affairs for PepsiCo North America Nutrition. In her prior role, she served as chief of staff to the president and CEO of Quaker Oats, a PepsiCo subsidiary.

NEW YORK—Condé Nast has appointed Cameron Blanchard executive vice president of corporate communications. She succeeds Patricia Röckenwagner who has taken on a new communications role at AV Partners, the investment arm of Condé Nast parent company, Advance Publications. Blanchard will be responsible for the company’s communications and positioning strategies, media relations, employee and internal communications and corporate social responsibility priorities. She was previously senior vice president of corporate communications at NBCUniversal.

SANTA MONICA, CA—Universal Music Group has appointed Eric Berman as executive vice president of public affairs, responsible for public policy and government relations globally. Berman has more than a decade of experience counseling clients in the music industry in his role at the public relations firm Kekst and Company, where he worked since 1997, most recently as co-head of Kekst's public affairs practice. 
Prior to his time at Kekst, Berman held positions in the White House under President Bill Clinton, at the Democratic National Committee and on Capitol Hill.

ATLANTA—Brett Jewkes has been named senior vice president - chief communications officer for AMB Group, the parent company of the Atlanta Falcons, PGA Tour Superstore, and more. Jewkes will be responsible for the development and implementation of internal and external communications strategies across The Blank Family of Businesses companies, which also include The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation. He was senior vice president and chief communications officer at NASCAR and earlier worked at Taylor Global.

NEW YORK—ABM, a leading provider of facility solutions, has hired Anthony Piniella as chief communication officer, focused on implementing a communication strategy to position and enhance ABM's reputation within the industries it serves and across customer, employee, and shareholder audiences. Most recently he served as vice president of corporate communication for NCR where he led and oversaw all global external, internal and executive communication. Previously, he served as vice president of corporate communication for Intralinks.

CENTENNIAL, CO—Resource company NioCorp Developments has appointed Jim Sims as vice president for external affairs, responsible for investor relations, media relations, marketing, and government affairs. For the past five years, Sims was vice president of corporate communications at Molycorp and earlier served as the chief executive officer and president of Policy Communications, Inc.

IRVINE, CA—Hair products company Drybar has promoted Brittany Driscoll to vice president of marketing. Driscoll was previously the director of marketing for the company, and previously led the brand division at Mistress, a boutique creative agency in Venice Beach.
