NEW YORK—Getty Images has appointed Jennifer Ferguson  to the newly created position of senior vice president of global communications. Ferguson joins Getty Images from Christie's, where she served as SVP/international director of communications and public relations for the luxury auction house. She oversees the company’s brands, reputation and corporate communications globally, as well as provides strategic communications counsel to chief executive officer Dawn Airey.

CHICAGO—Global investment firm Citadel has appointed Julie Andreeff Jensen as chief corporate affairs and communications officer. She joins Citadel from Brunswick Group, where she spent eight years and helped build and lead the firm's Washington, DC, office. Prior to joining Brunswick, Andreeff Jensen helped lead several political and public affairs campaigns including President Obama's 2008 victory.

WEST SACRAMENTO, CA—The California State Teachers' Retirement System has appointed Grant Boyken as public affairs executive officer, a new position that will provide strategic leadership and oversight for external affairs, communications, and governmental relations. Boyken has worked in the State Treasurer's office since 2008 most recently as deputy state treasurer. Earlier, he was a senior policy researcher at the State Library's California Research Bureau and the California Public Employees' Retirement System.

PISCATAWAY, NJ—LIXIL Water Technology Americas, the business unit under which brands American Standard, DXV and Grohe operate, has named Troy Benavidez vice president, public affairs. He will lead corporate communications, social responsibility, government relations, as well as represent the company in matters with industry trade groups and serve as the company spokesperson. Benavidez previously served in various roles with Pfizer and AstraZeneca.

DENVER—Summit Materials, a leading vertically integrated construction materials company, has appointed Noel R. Ryan III as its new vice president, investor relations. Ryan has more than fifteen years of experience, most recently serving as vice president and head of investor relations and external communications for Calumet Specialty Products Partners.
