NEW YORK—Forest Laboratories has named Alex Kelly senior vice president, chief communications officer, public affairs and investor relations. He will lead Forest's corporate communications and investor relations programs, including internal and external communications, media relations, corporate branding, product communications, and public affairs. Kelly most recently served as vice president, investor relations, at Bausch + Lomb after serving as senior vice president, investor relations at Merck & Co.

TORONTO—FRHI Hotels & Resorts, the parent company of Raffles Hotels & Resorts, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts, has appointed Alexandra Blum as vice president, public relations, with complete oversight of the hotel group’s external communications activity. Blum brings more than 20 years of media, sales and marketing experience at Thomson Corporation, Where Magazines International, Opal Sky and Rogers Media before joining Fairmont Hotels & Resorts as an independent consultant in 2004.
