AUSTIN—Whole Foods Market has appointed Brooke Buchanan as global vice president of communications. Buchanan will lead Whole Foods’ public relations, internal communications and government affairs efforts. She previously served as vice president of communications for Theranos, vice president of public relations for Williams-Sonoma, and held multiple positions at Wal-Mart.

WASHINGTON, DC—Airlines for America, the industry trade organization for the leading US airlines, has named Kathy Grannis Allen as managing director, airline industry public relations and communications. Allen joins A4A from the National Retail Federation, having most recently served as senior director, media relations. A4A also added Nicole Soufi as manager, social media. Soufi joins from Westat, where she served as a digital and social media associate.

NEW YORK—Axioma, a leading provider of innovative risk and portfolio management solutions, has appointed Steve Mann as chief marketing officer. Mann, whose experience includes senior marketing positions at LexisNexis and SAP, as well as venture-backed startups, will focus on further accelerating Axioma's global growth in both existing and adjacent markets worldwide.He most recently served as acting CMO and a collaborating consultant at Adjuvi, a boutique management consultancy.
