NEW YORK—Jason Rzepka has been named senior vice president, brand communications and public affairs at MTV. In his expanded position, Rzepka will oversee all corporate communications functions including external and internal communications strategies for the MTV brand. He will also continue to oversee MTV's public affairs department and social media. In addition, Jennifer Solari has been named vice president for program publicity and communications. She joins from CBS Television Studios.

PARSIPPANY, NJ—The German industrial and chemical group Evonik Corporation has selected Jeremy Neuhart, former manager of corporate public relations at PPG Industries, as its new director of communications for the North America region. Neuhart will be responsible for all media relations, and employee and business communications strategies and tactics.

MIAMI—David Ford (pictured) is joining Fusion, the ABC-Univision cable channel focused on English-speaking Hispanics, as vice president for corporate communications. He will oversee all external and internal communications and serve as a primary point of contact with key members of the media. He joins from the ABC News PR team, where he oversaw media relations for the evening newscast "World News with Diane Sawyer." Prior to joining ABC he worked in corporate marketing for the publisher of Rolling Stone, Us Weekly, and Men's Journal.

LOS ANGELES—Insomniac, which produces music festivals and events, has appointed Jennifer Forkish to the newly created position of vice president of communications and public affairs. In addition to acting as Insomniac's spokesperson, Forkish will oversee media relations, crisis communications and social media and will be chief in-house advisor and lobbyist on political matters. Forkish previously worked as vice president at Englander Knabe & Allen, a Los Angeles communications and public affairs firm, where she worked closely with Insomniac and Rotella over the last three years.

MIAMI—Commercial health plan AvMed has named Corey Miller its new director of public relations and communications. Miller is charged with leading AvMed’s public relations and communications team into a new era, focused on the company’s 300,000 members. He previously served as communications director at GE Healthcare and before that worked in media advocacy at the American Cancer Society.
