NEW YORK—Giorgio Armani has promoted Garine Zerounian to the role of senior vice president of communications for North America, replacing Rod Manley, who recently took up a new role as executive vice president, global communications, for Calvin Klein. Zerounian will oversee public relations, media, image events, graphic services and corporate communications for all brands. She joined Armani in 204, after working at Belstff, Valentino, Ralph Lauren and Yves Saint Laurent.

CINCINNATI—Retailer The Kroger Co. has named Jessica Adelman as group vice president of corporate affairs. Adelman has 20 years of experience as a public affairs executive in the food industry, most recently as senior vice president of corporate affairs for Syngenta North America, a leading agriculture company, since 2008. In her new role, she will focus on reputation management, including external communications and brand public relations; media; government and regulatory affairs; corporate social responsibility and environmental sustainability; community relations; crisis management; cause-marketing and corporate philanthropy.

WASHINGTON, DC—The Beer Institute, representing America's brewers, beer importers and industry sluppliers, has hired Denise Dunckel as vice president, public affairs. Dunckel previously served as senior vice president, external affairs, with Blackstone's Invitation Homes, a leading single-family rental company. Earlier, she was a senior associate director with the Federal Housing Finance Agency and worked in the DC office of Visa Inc.

MADISON, WI—Rob Palmer is the new vice president of government relations at WPS Health Solutions. He succeeds Christine Russell, who has retired. Palmer comes to WPS from the Air Force Reserve Command, where he was director of public affairs since 2012. He previously was deputy director of legislative affairs for the North American Aerospace Defense Command and United States Northern Command.

DAYTON, OH—CareSource, a nonprofit Ohio-based health plan, has named Jenny Michael as Vice president, marketing and corporate communications, providing leadership for CareSource's marketing, branding, corporate communications and media relations. Michael has been with CareSource for five years as director of public relations and corporate communications. Before that, she worked at The Berry Company as director for marketing and communications.

SAN FRANCISCO—Music video platform Vevo has named Jon Carvill as vice president of communications, responsible for public relations and corporate communications and reporting to president and CEO Erik Huggers. Carvill was most recently senior director of public relations at Qualcomm and earlier worked at Intel and GlobalFoundries.
