Corporate Veteran Leahy Joins Financial Relations Board

Weber Shandwick investor relations subsidiary Financial Relations Board has named Robert Leahy executive vice president and managing director of the firm’s New York office.

NEW YORK—Weber Shandwick investor relations subsidiary Financial Relations Board has named Robert Leahy executive vice president and managing director of the firm’s New York office. Leahy will oversee the New York operations of Financial Relations Board, including client service, counsel and business development activities.

Leahy has more than 25 years experience in international marketing, investor, and public and government relations. Leahy most recently served as senior vice president and director of corporate marketing and communications with Friedman Billings Ramsey Group, one of the largest independent U.S. public investment banks and a leading capital markets firm. ..

Prior to joining FBR, he was senior vice president of corporate marketing and financial communications at Teleglobe Communications Corporation and PSINet. Earlier, he was senior vice president and senior communications advisor to the office of the chairman of the National Association of Securities Dealers, parent company of the NASDAQ Stock Market and American Stock Exchange.
