LONDON—Hill & Knowlton has appointed former EMEA technology practice leader Sally Costerton as chief executive of its London office, following the departure of Marie Louis Windeler after more than 20 years with the agency.

Costerton has been with Hill & Knowlton for seven years, the first five of which were spent running the Hill & Knowlton London’s technology division before taking on her regional role. She leads the agency’s client teams on Intel, Coda, Verizion Business and UGS and will continue to do so in her new role. She will also continue to sit on the agency’s European executive committee.

She will work closely with Windeler on managing the transition process.

According to H&K’s EMEA chief executive Andre Laurence, “Sally will bring to this unique role both proven experience of running a large business and major international client relationships as well as strong leadership and managerial skills.”

Prior to joining H&K, Costerton led Abacus, a £1.5 million technology PR agency. Prior to Abacus she spent eight years at QBO working with a range technology and financial services clients.
