PARSIPPANY, NJ—Coyne Public Relations, one of the country’s fastest growing public relations firms, has expanded its client roster with the addition of Wakefern Food Corporation, the nation’s largest retailer-owned cooperative with 190 ShopRite stores in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Delaware.

Coyne PR was chosen from among four agencies in a competitive bid, and will implement a 12-month PR campaign to support ShopRite’s Partners In Caring, ShopRite’s hunger relief initiative.

ShopRite Partners In Caring is a year-round community-based program created by ShopRite supermarkets to fight hunger in communities served by ShopRite stores. The program was launched in 1999, and donated $1 million to the fight against hunger in its inaugural year and $2 million annually every subsequent year.

Coyne’s 12-month PR program on behalf of the ShopRite Partners In Caring initiative will include a series of high-profile media events, ongoing media relations and strong employee communications effort to encourage employee participation.
